A Mostly British Obsession

SD1 on eBay

Looks like the Rover has attracted a bidder on eBay, so if everything goes according to Hoyle, the car should have a new owner soon. There is still a day or two left in the auction, which can be found here.

Congrats, looks like you sold it, hope it’s a smooth transaction for you I’ve enjoyed following your blog for awhile now and always look forward to the updates. I should tell you I don’t care much for your current plan of focusing on the GT. Rather, a 1979 Lotus Eclat has been lingering on Seattle Craigslist lately. On behalf of your readers, I urge you to purchase it and tell us about it with your great pictures and humble voice. We need more Rusty Heaps.

If it’s less than the Rover brought in, I’d consider it. This week has been kind of a bummer, and an ’79 Eclat would be the icing on that particular cake. ;)

We’ll see if it actually sold. I have not heard a squeak yet from the high bidder, who is on the east coast.

The buyer’s name is probably “Guido the Razor” or something similar. As long as you’re not shifty, you won’t be keeping company with Osama at the bottom of the Arabian Sea. Keep us posted.

Well done! I can’t wait to see what you console yourself with.
