Note: I’ve been really ill for almost three weeks…and that, combined with the holidays and ongoing “life events” has meant not having had a lot of time to devote to the Morgan or just about anything else.
The painted body went back on the car (in a semi-permanent fashion), and that lets me get on with some firewall stuff.
As I was kind of expecting, the scuttle will need some massaging to have a good line at the back of the bonnet, though it wasn’t as dreadful as I feared. It’s within the realm of the possible, anyway.
Above I’ve put in half the upper row of fasteners attaching the firewall to the frame. It’s amazing how solid the glued-up body/chassis combo really is. The car as purchased is possibly 10% as strong as this.
